Fiona Poulton
Senior Associate

Fiona is driven in her work with communities to connect them to the past and to each other by creating engaging, meaningful histories. She is a tenacious researcher, an eagle-eyed editor, and a passionate heritage practitioner and oral historian with involvement in a range of projects for community groups, organisations, local councils and educational institutions. She has co-authored several books and heritage studies that ground history in place, including municipality histories, contextual site histories, and thematic environmental histories.

Fiona is particularly inspired by the potential of combining oral history with digital technologies to transform the way that we present history. She has been involved in the creation of a range of online histories, exhibitions and installations, using individual voices to add a richly personal quality to the stories we tell.
