Katherine’s passion for making history accessible to a general audience inspired her decision to follow a career as a professional historian. She has broad experience in all aspects of public history including commissioned histories, heritage, and oral history. Katherine is the author of histories on educational institutions, businesses and professional bodies. In all her work she has been an enthusiastic supporter of oral testimony, in particular its ability to allow a range of people to contribute to the historical record.

Overseeing a large number of major projects from conception to delivery, Katherine is an experienced editor and project manager with the ability to control all aspects of the process of producing a large-scale history. Katherine is an Executive Board Member of the History Council of Victoria and on the Editorial Board of Provenance: The Journal of Public Record Office Victoria.
