In 2025 Way Back When completed the installation of a historic timeline for OzChild, a national organisation that has its foundations in the Melbourne Orphanage and the Victorian Children’s Aid Society. With a history of more than 170 years, OzChild has made a significant contribution to the social welfare landscape and wanted to honour this history in some way within its newly built national headquarters.
We created a visual timeline with images and text panels, providing a brief outline of the key periods of the organisation’s long history. The aim of the installation is to offer staff and visitors in the OzChild office with a way of engaging with the past.
